Choosing the right media for your digital camera

So you want to make sure you choose the right media for your camera. Just because a memory card is advertised as fast, doesn't mean it is fast. I found some pretty good sites that help you determine if your card (or the one you're going to buy) is fast. Here are the ones that I use:

  • The Rob Galbraith site - just choose your camera, and find the fastest card for it

  • DP Review - another great site for checking out the speeds of compact flash cards. This site is also pretty good for checking out cameras too!
