Wow, so I live about 40 minutes from Seattle, I like where I live because it's quiet (except for that obnoxious kid with the motorized scooter, and of course on Friday's when the lawn care people come). My place is pretty quiet, but I didn't expect to be walking my dog Chico, round the courner and run into 3 deer on the side of the road! Beautiful creatures! This just made sure that I bring my camera on all trips forward with Chico.
Shortly after that, I realized that my feet(in sandles) were almost on a gardner snake! Snakes and spiders, I'm not really good with: I started jumping and screaming, and Kendra was up on my back in no time. Chico took off up the path (as long as his extenda-leash would let him). After my heart started beating, and the air came back into my lungs, the snake was long gone.
Next came the ducks. Not to be a home recker or anything, but those baby ducks should leave the nest... they're HUGE! Lucky for me, ducks don't scare me.
Well, Had I known I'd have such an encounter with nature, I'd carry my camera with me. No pictures today, if I run into them again, I'll be ready.
