Snowboarding Season isn't quite ... on

So at the beginning of this month, I managed to make it out to a local hill in Vancouver to do some snowboarding. I thought this was the kick off of a great season. Vancouver & Seattle both had snow down in the heart of the city, which usually means there is lots of snow on the mountains. The saying has been "If it's raining in the city, it's snowing on the mountains".

Unfortunately that hasn't been the case.

A couple of friends have gone to Whistler on two seperate weekends. Both friends travelled up on a Thursday and were scheduled to come back on Sunday. Sure the trip was that long, but there was only 1 day of snowboarding, and it was so horrible, it wasn't worth the lift ticket to go again.

So, while I'm itching to get riding, the snow just isn't there. I like the big fluffy powder. I guess this isn't going to be a good season.
