It doesn't happen often, actually, the last time it happened was 1996. I'm talking about snow. This week, I'm up in Canadia (that's north of the 49th parallel for you American's). Actually, to be technically accurate, Victoria, BC is south of the 49th, but it's still considered part of Canada.
Anyways, lots of Canadians come to Victoria to retire, the weather is constant, it's usually pretty nice, and it's really beautiful here in the summer. Unfortunately, dreams were shattered yesterday and today. The weather turned south and it snowed here on the Island. Not just a dusting either, a foot and a half! And it's cold out too! so it's here to stay for a few days. Wednesday we're supposed to get another dump too!
I have to say, that having snow around is pretty fun. I've always liked the first few weeks of snow, but I'm super happy that it'll be gone in a few weeks.
